Emotion Core
Eight basic emotions
The core of Metatypismus: four forces of chaos and four of harmony, whose mixtures produce the remaining states.

- Glyphs · Concentric orbits · Metaportraits
Within Metatypismus, eight basic emotions: four of chaos and four of harmony, from whose mixture all the rest follow. Each has a glyph.
Drawn in gold along concentric orbits, they compose a metaportrait: an image of a being described not by its likeness but by the state it is moving through.
Unlike Metatypismus, which is open, this system is closed and authored: eight, and no more.

How to read a metaportrait
Five rings, read from the centre outward
- Inner ring - the chaos emotion the person is acting from right now.
- Three middle rings - each sets one chaos against one harmony. Whichever dominates that orbit is the one leading.
- Outer ring - the harmony emotion the person is moving toward.
- Read outward - centre to rim is a route, so the portrait carries a path rather than a fixed identity.
